Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-23 School Year
Starting March 1, 2022, parents may begin to register transitional kindergarten and kindergarten students at the elementary school of residency. English FLYER (or) Spanish FLYER
The age requirements are as follows:
Kindergarten: child must be born on or before September 1, 2017
Transitional Kindergarten: child must be born between September 2, 2017 - February 2, 2018

Please complete the following steps to register your child. (Note: Returning students do not need to register using this process.)
Step 1: On or after March 1, 2022, please click HERE to register at Alamosa Park Elementary School for the 2022-23 school year.
Step 2:Contact your student's school office and confirm your student's pre-enrollment.
Then bring the signed Enrollment Confirmation document, immunization records, birth verification and proof of residency to the school.
Legal requirements for entrance into kindergarten are as follows: The child must be born on or before September 1, 2017. The parents or guardian of a child must present legal proof of age before the child may be admitted. Such proof of age may be presented in the form of a birth certificate, a baptismal certificate, passport or an affidavit of the parent or custodian of the minor. (One form of residence verification is also required.)
Parents are also required to provide documented evidence that their children have had the following required immunizations:
POLIO (OPV and/or IPV):Four doses at any age; or three doses if the third dose was administered on or after the 4th birthday
DIPHTHERIA, TETANUS AND PERTUSSIS(DTP, DTAP or DT) : Five doses at any age; or four doses if the fourth dose was administered on or after the 4th birthday
MEASLES, MUMPS, RUBELLA(MMR): Two doses of measles-containing vaccine are required. One dose of mumps- and rubella-containing vaccine is required. All vaccines must have been given on or after the first birthday.
HEPATITIS B: Three doses.
VARICELLA: Two doses administered on or after the first birthday or history of clinical disease documented by physician.
PHYSICAL EXAM: The student must have a physical examination completed within 6 months prior to the start of Kindergarten.
State Law Requirements
Students cannot be assigned to a class until immunizations and birth certificate requirements are satisfied. Additionally, all Kindergarten students are required to have a physical examination, obtain a completed "Report of Health Checkup for School Entry" form and a Dental Screening form. Please avoid disappointment and take care of the routine items as soon as possible.
TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN
Alamosa Park Elementary is happy to announce that we will be offering Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for the 2022-2023 school year. Transitional Kinder is a two year program for students meeting the age requirement. The first year is called Transitional and provides an academic bridge using state adopted materials for younger students. Year two is Traditional kinder using curriculum based on the K-5 district adopted materials.
The age requirements are as follows:
Kindergarten: child must be born on or before September 1, 2017
Transitional Kindergarten: child must be born between September 2, 2017 - February 2, 2018
Registration for Returning Students
In order for your child’s registration process to be complete, every year you need to submit updated information to our front office through the re-registration process.
Please begin the online Re-Registration process for the 2022/23 school year by logging on to Aeries Parent Portal. After log-in, at the top of the screen you will see "You have not yet completed the Student Data Confirmation Process". There are five tabs to confirm information, starting with Family Information. Please follow the prompts and print out the emergency card when you are finished. Please know that you can complete the entire Data Confirmation process in the Alamosa Park front office.
Please bring to front office the three required forms for each of your children:
Medical Information: If your child is authorized by a physician to receive medication at school, you will need to fill out the Authorization for Medication Administration form. Our front office has the medical authorization forms available. This form requires the physician’s signature.
